Sand paints Frida Kahlo in Mexico City
Sand One travels to her mother land Mexico City, guided by her never ending search for inspiration. While roaming the streets of Mexico, and indulging the many dishes, colors and cultural riches it has to offer . Sand visited the home of the legendary artist couple; Fridah Kahlo and Diego Rivera's home in Teotihuacan, leading Sand to paint a mural of Fridah in Sands signature style. Inspiration served its purpose.

Cold Heart Warmer
Water color painting size 22x30,
part of Sand's new watercolor collection.
"Cold Heart Warmer" is inspired by the many cold hearted women living among us.
Give these women a cup of warm hot chocolate with marshmallows.. maybe it will warm their frozen unloving hearts. Living in a busy, big city can make a woman's heart as cold as ice.

Beverly Hills Lifestyle Magazine
Beverly Hills Ca.-"UNSTOPPABLE"
Featured in this months Beverly Hills Lyfestyle magazine is the work of Los Angeles based photographer Jennifer Jaimes known as Photojeninc in the street art world. Her work is featured in this months Beverly Hills Lifestyle issue, showcasing her photography project "UNSTOPPABLE" capturing some of the best artist of today in the Los Angeles Ca. street art scene. Leading Lady Sand One is a part of Photojeninc's feature in this winter issue.
BHL Magazine: Jennifer Jaimes- through this new series brings back this thoughtful perspective by focusing on some of the most charismatic and interesting individuals in the art world. Street art is perhaps the most exciting art movement of the contemporary era and Jennifer Jaimes (PhotoJenInc) calls upon the history of portraiture to capture the elusiveness, mystery, and romantic aspects of these individuals who creep around the corners of society to share their messages.
Over 1 year ago Jennifer Jaimes (PhotoJenInc) took on a large project of caturing approximately 30 LA Street Artists in the studio to tell a story of who they are and represent displaying their work fist and foremost. It took some doing with months and 100's of hours to achieve. Jim Daichendt saw this series last summer and wanted to write a piece on it as part of his art critique in which he did beautifully. This is the first exposure of her series which can also be seen in the Beverly Hills Lifestyle Magazine on shelves now - Winter 2013.

Sand vs. Mr.Flawless
Mr.Flawless-New York:
Housed in the Diamond Exchange amid New York's bustling midtown, the Flawless Store is the exclusive location for the eponymous collection by Greg Yuna. Inspired by the streets of New York, Yuna's designs immortalize classic east coast icons — rosaries, the Notorious B.I.G, a magnum revolver — in black and white diamonds set in platinum and gold.
The location also affords access to the Diamond Exchange's extensive collection of diamond rings and classic time pieces, such as Panerai and Audemaras Piguet, and consultations with Yuna on custom design projects. Clients can experience the materials involved in their designs, and meet with Yuna one-on-one to collaborate on creating fresh, statement pieces that enhance their personal style.

ASPIRA Charter School Mural
Sand One Paints a Large Scale Mural At ASPIRA School For Art Basel
Miami, FL - Friday, December 7,2012
Los Angeles based street artist and female urban art icon, Sand One, returns to Miami to participate in the week of Art Basel 2012. Her work will be exhibited throughout the week in The Arts District galleries. The main highlight of Sands trip to Miami will be painting a large scale educational based mural called "Book Smarts" at ASPIRA Eugenio Maria de Hostos Youth Leadership Charter School located at 1 Northeast 19th Street Miami, FL 33132. The mural will feature the artist's signature long lashed girl characters engaging in school activities. Sand emphasizes, "the intention behind the mural is to highlight the importance of reading. Reading is knowledge."
The mural is made possible due to the diligent efforts of Captain George Guevara of Fire Department Station 2, who recognized the necessity to beautify the school's building with something inspirational and creative for the students. The fire department sits adjacent to the school in Wynwood. After meeting with Principal Jorge Trujillo and ASPIRA President/CEO George Cabrera, ASPIRA sanctioned the mural proposal as it directly relates to the student body, as well as the interactive aspect of the artist welcoming the students to help her paint the mural.
“This is an exciting opportunity to have our students participate in a unique hands on project that expands their learning beyond the classroom,” said ASPIRA President and CEO, George Cabrera. “This would not have been possible without the vision and support of Captain George Guevara. We cannot thank Sand One enough for sharing her talent with our Aspirantes and for choosing the Eugenio Maria De Hostos building as her canvas to communicate the importance of reading.”
Sand has been painting hundreds of murals over the past three years all across the country, from Los Angeles to New York to Miami. She also has her own clothing line featured in various boutiques across Los Angeles and has worked with corporate brands such as Levi's during Art Basel 2011 in conjunction with Primary Flight.
