Today as I painted a crazy Sand Chick a familiar smell invaded my senses..it was Tamales! As I quickly turned my head and scanned the streets I identified the target..2 female Latinas, one was the mother possibly 42 years old,the second female about hmm..16 I dropped the BELTON spray can and rushed towards them. First of all,I wanted to eat a tamale and gamble my food poisoning luck,Second I fully support street vendors in they're paper chase, third, this young girl is walking the streets with her mother vending tamales,I wanted to congratulate her for having the courage to go out on the streets with her mother.
I spoke what I felt..I told her to never be ashamed to hustle..whatever you hustle always take pride in it,my mother sells food out of a lunch truck, and even though at times it seems a bit embarrassing..its an honest living and I will always support my mother in her Taco endeavors as for her (Stephanie),she should never underestimate or doubt theyre motives, always push for a better tomorrow and never neglect help to ur parents.
I gave her a Sand Bow..the female power bow! Make that Money!
Heres to you Stephanie!
